The whole reason why I was able to get the Dually Crew cab truck so cheap was because the previous owner scattered the driveline all over the freeway somewhere in California.   Since he didn’t do a good job bolting the tranny crossmember into the truck…. it flexed and twisted when he stomped on the pedal and BOOM! There went the driveline.  

So I had no driveline whatsoever for the Dually Crew Cab once the Cummins and the 518 Tranny was installed.  But I had donor driveline parts from the `93 D-250 which would just need to be lengthened in the rear section.  Luckily the carrier bearing to transmission distance was the same on the `93 and the `82 so that front section of driveline was fine. 


Here’s some photos of getting the truck onto the tow rig and over to Driveline Service of Carson City.  Gotta love having a AAA membership…. especially when those free tows can be used for trucks you just built!
